It has begun!

On September 6th Fred Thompson announced his candidacy for the White House.

What started as a “draft Fred” movement has exploded into an official Presidential campaign surging to the lead across the country. So many people all across Georgia have been working incredibly hard to make this happen.

On behalf of Senator Thompson, thank you for everything you have done.

Now it is time to get organized and go win this thing!

Today, it is my great pleasure to introduce two key leaders of our Georgia Team for Fred Thompson.

State Senator Chip Rogers will be our Georgia Executive Director and Communications Director. A native of Kennesaw, Chip is one of the most widely respected Republican members of the State Senate where he serves as the chair of the Senate Finance Committee and as a member of the powerful Committee on Assignments. He will serve as our day to day Campaign Manager in Georgia and the leader of our grassroots team.

Mr. Steve Croy, President of Croy Realty Group, will be our Georgia Finance Chair. A native Georgian, Steve is a highly respected business leader on Georgia’s coast where he has been a strong supporter of many of our top Republican leaders. In 2006, he served as Treasurer and Finance Chair for Lt. Governor Casey Cagle’s successful campaign. Steve will head up fundraising efforts in Georgia and will serve on Thompson’s National Finance Committee.

This is the first of many announcements we will be making in the coming days, weeks, and months.
